Professional Development Session One: Lesson Plan and Associated Technology Tools
PD Lesson One ~ Inquiry Stage - Connect and Gain Background Knowledge:
As a group we will go over the Unit Overview and briefly discuss the importance of upgrading curriculum with technology, and the importance of connecting the upgraded curriculum with student Personalized Learning Plans (PLP's). Threaded Discussions in shared Google Docs will also be explained. Teachers will:

f. Review Technology tools to differentiate and create access to learning for all students.
g. Flip your classroom and create blended learning experiences, while simultaneously creating visual and audio learning experiences for students, using Screencastify and Nimbus Nimbus Screenshot and Screencast.
h. A - Z List of NASA Websites for Educators This is an extensive list of websites for K-12 educators from the Aerodynamics of Baseball to Zero Gravity!

- Complete Pre-Assessment Google Form
- Complete the "I Know" and "What I Want to Know" sections of this K-W-L Chart
- Locate background knowledge, which can be used to connect the ideas introduced in the Unit Overview. This will provide a strong foundation upon which to build your knowledge base. Suggested sources of information to collect background knowledge are listed below under Technology Resources.

- Read pages 1-96 in "Curriculum 21" by Jacobs
- Review classroom gaming tech tools, which can be used to motivate students to learn.
- Review Universal Design for Learning technology tools to differentiate and create access to learning for all students.
